2. What the App Does

Jedum Format Forge lets users convert files on their device and, for selected formats, through our cloud conversion backend.

3. Information We Process

• Files selected by the user for conversion
• Conversion settings and output preferences
• Temporary session identifiers used to secure cloud conversion requests
• Advertising and consent information when ads are enabled
• Basic server metadata such as request timestamps, request size, and abuse-prevention logs

We do not intentionally collect special category personal data through the app.

4. Local Processing

Many conversions happen entirely on the device. When a conversion is processed locally, the selected file is not uploaded to our cloud backend for that conversion step.

5. Cloud Conversions

Some conversion types require our backend service, including server-assisted document conversion.

When a cloud conversion is used, the app may upload:

• the file selected for conversion
• the requested output format
• a temporary app session token or technical identifier required to secure the service

Cloud conversion files are processed only to complete the requested conversion.

6. Advertising, AdMob, and Consent

If advertising is enabled, the app may use Google AdMob to show ads. Google and its partners may process device and usage data for ad delivery, fraud prevention, reporting, and consent management.

Where required, the app uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and refresh consent, present a consent form, and provide a privacy options or consent-revocation entry point.

If you serve users in the EEA, UK, or regulated U.S. states, replace this section with the real legal bases you rely on, such as service fulfillment, legitimate interests for security and abuse prevention, and consent for personalized advertising where required.

8. Children

Jedum Format Forge is not directed to children under the age of 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Data Retention

Describe your real retention policy for:

• local conversion history
• generated files stored on the device
• temporary uploaded files on the backend
• temporary converted files on the backend
• server logs and abuse-prevention records

10. Data Sharing

Describe the categories of third parties you use, if any, such as:

• cloud hosting providers
• file-processing infrastructure
• Google AdMob and Google consent tooling
• analytics or crash reporting providers, if added later

11. User Rights

Depending on the user’s region, they may have rights to access, delete, correct, object to, or withdraw consent for certain processing. Explain how users can contact you to exercise those rights.

12. Security
